At the Forty Windows, we are being the guests of Karaca family, which is one of the Yuruk families spending summer months at the high peaks of the Toros mountains… The Karaca family is depicting themselves to us. They are informing us on stock-breeding, cheese making and life at a traditional tent made from animal hair.
The Yuruk families dealing with stock-breeding since the past, spend the summer months with their animals at the plateau. Many plateaus which were used as meadows in the old days, are now in the boundaries of national parks. As its forbidden to stockbreed in national parks, many families had to abonden this traditional stock-breeding and started looking for new employment opportunities at the urban areas. This film is witnessing the last days of the Karaca family at the mountains.
